Warm Hearted Hat Pattern

Warm Hearted Hat Pattern
It's really hard to get a good picture of this hat. It looks so much better in real life. The picture at the bottom of this page does not show the heart very well but it gives a good idea of how the hat fits. I put a piece of paper inside the hat to show off the heart design better on film but in real life it's easy to see. It does require some fancy manuevering and some decreases many may not be familiar with, but if you take it step by step it is very simple to construct.

Supplies

  • Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart)
  • Size 8 circular and/or dpn's
  • Tapestry needle
  • 1 stitch marker to mark the beginning of the row

Note about terms used in this pattern

  • K1-b- Knit one through the back of the stitch instead of through the front.
  • ssk- slip 2 stitches one at a time to right needle then knit both of the stitches together
  • M1- Knit one in the front and back of the stitch, increasing one stitch
  • Sk2p- Slip 1, K2tog, then pass the slipped stitch back over the K2tog as if you were binding off.
  • D4- Decrease 4 stitches, Slip 3 stitches to right hand needle, and slip the second stitch over the first on right hand needle as if binding off, then slip first st back to left hand needle, Slip the second stitch on the left hand needle over the first as if to bind off, then slip the first st back to right needle and pass 2nd stitch over first as if to bind off, slip the first st back to left hand needle and slip the second stitch over the first, then knit the stitch.
  • Cluster 3- With yarn in back, slip 3 stitches to right hand needle. Then bring yarn to the front and slip three stitches back to left hand needle. Bring yarn to the back again and knit the three stitches.

Is it possible to print just the pattern without all the ads and comments? I had 4 pages that were blank in addition to 6 pages that had print matter and only 3 of those contained any pattern instructions. I hope that hat pattern works up better than the printing did.

Hey this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated! Anna from สล็อ
