Christmas Simplistic Hat Pattern

Christmas Simplistic Hat Pattern
It seems like everytime I see a pattern for a Christmas hat online it's a giant Christmas Tree Shaped Hat that while cute can be somewhat garish for everyday wear. I wanted to make a simple Christmas Hat. While above the hat looks rather plain in real life the tree stands out more. To make this hat more festive you could embroider a star and other embellishments onto the tree. Make it your own. It also always seems like Christmas patterns are always posted the day after Christmas when the last minute knitter/designer gets time to post, so I wanted to post something early that people could knit for THIS Christmas season. This hat is super fast and easy to make. Make one for yourself or a gift but please don't sell them and if you share the pattern share the link and not the pattern itself.

Supplies:

  1. Green Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Sugar and Cream Cotton)
  2. Size 8 Circulars and/or dpns
  3. Tapestry needle
  4. Stitch marker to mark beginning of round if working with circulars

Cast on 84 and do three rows K1, P1, ribbing, then K1 row. Begin Pattern Rows:
