Kiara's Easter Bunny Hat Pattern

I made this hat for my niece Kiara for Easter. She's quite the little model. It's made from a worsted cotton boucle I got in one of those grab bags from the Sugar and Creme website. She looks so cute in it! This is one of my first patterns from Guyana, and the first pattern actually posted. The kindness of strangers (and in-laws) has helped provide me with yarn to still be able to create patterns. Thanks so much again! If you leave off the ears it makes a really cute simple beanie pattern. It knits up super fast. The whole thing with assembly took only 1 day!

To fit 1 and a half year old
Size 8 Circular Knitting Needles (I used 11")
Worsted Weight Cotton
Cast on 64 stitches

Do approximately 5 rows of K1, P1, Ribbing
Stockinette (Plain Knitting in the Round) to desired length
*K14, K2tog* Around
*K8, K2tog* Around
*K7, K2tog* Around
*K6, K2tog* Around
*K5, K2tog* Around
*K4, K2tog* Around
*K3, K2tog* Around
*K2, K2tog* Around
*K1, K2tog* Around
*K2tog* Around
Break yarn leaving long enough tail to thread through remaining stitches and pull up tight.
Weave In Ends

Bunny Ears (Make 2)
With size F crochet hook,
Chain 10, Join
Ch3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 15 dc in ring (16 total)
Repeat last row for 5 more rounds
Next row evenly decrease to 12 dcs.
Next row evenly decrease to 6 dcs.
Cut yarn and cinch up end of ear.
Stuff and attach to hat.
