Book Reviews

One Skein Wonders
ONE SKEIN WONDERS By Judith Durant
This is an excellent book full of great patterns! 101 great patterns! The patterns in the book are organized by yarn weight making it the perfect book to help you bust that stash! My favorite is the super cute easy shrug. I had to adjust the size for my big arms but it is gorgeous and simple as many patterns in the book are. Another favorite of mine is a small felted neck pouch. Great for using up the wool leftovers or doing your first felting project. I would definently reccomend this book to any knitter, no matter the skill level. Especially for those who love to buy just one skein of a lovely yarn with no predetermined purpose.

Pretty In Punk: 25 Punk, Rock, and Goth Knitting Patterns
My mother bought me this book as a gift and I loved it. There are many neat patterns. While many of them do call for bulky weight wool which can be pricey, the patterns in this book will make you want to shell out the dough. I made Randy the Mowhawk hat in just hours. Each item is offered in a variety of sizes. If you're a fan of the mowhawk you'll love this book. Purses, armwarmers, even faux mowhawk hats.

I too love this book! I also like One Skein by Leigh Radford which has some crochet patterns as well. Nice to use up stash!

I ordered that book and the One Skein as well (they had a deal on amazon if you ordered them together). THANK YOU for reccomending it! I got the books yesterday and have already made a clutch from one of them and have plans for at least 8 more projects. Great stash busters too!!

Love, love, love this book. I've made a couple of things from here including "Shrug This" for my mom.

Check out Domi-knit-rix if you get the chance. It seems right up your alley.
