Hide those Roots! Short Row Headband

The colors of this headband made the lip ring a neccesity. I took my real one out a long time ago so that's a Halloween clip on. Lol. But it comes complete with Bad a$$ attitude. This headband is perfect for when you don't have the time to die your roots! Lol. Working tons and don't have time to dye and style the hair. Hope you enjoy it!
Supplies:
2 colors of worsted weight yarn
Size 8 needles straight or circular as you will work back and forth
Button and needle to sew it on and weave in ends.

Be sure to twist the colors around eachother when switching.

WYIB means with yarn in back
WYIF means with yarn in front

Cast on 80 sts
Row 1: (With A) Knit
Row 2: (With A) Knit to last 2 sts, turn.
Row 3: (With B) Slip 1 wyib, K3, Place Marker (PM), Knit to last 2 sts, turn.

You are such a doll. I love the attitude that you are portraying (although we all know what a total sweetheart you are). I love the color combination of red and black and will get MUCH use of this pattern. Now to go yarn hunting to get the perfect yarns for this as it deserves the best. You look great as a blonde.

OMG I didn't even know you had gone blonde - you're even cuter than you were in the first place! :) Thanks for the pattern - you're so sweet to all of us! :)

Thank you, for the pattern. I think it's a excellent gift, for my Mail Carrier, as a Christmas gift.

I'm having trouble on the actual 5th row. This would be Color A again. Do you knit to the marker and leave 2 stitches? or do you knit past the marker almost to the end and leave 2? I've only been knitting for a couple weeks, so this is probably obvious!

Are you on the part where you are increasing or decreasing. You should have four less or more stitches each row depending on whether you are increasing or decreasing.

OK, so i was on the part where I was decreasing (I think). I've tried this now 4 times and I finally gave up. The numbers don't seem to add up...(I'm sure it's me, not the pattern).

The great thing about the short rows is that they really make it hug the head and not slip. The only suggestion I have is maybe do some puff paint scribbling on the inside to make it more no slip kind of like those "stay put" headbands. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

You changed your background color, I like it - much better than the black. Its quite cheery. Toodles.
